Safety Mandate

The safety of our dogs, guests, and team members is Bark Social’s highest priority. Bark Social reserves the right to require any dog and accompanying owner or handler to leave the park at any time when management determines that doing so is necessary to protect the safety, comfort, or enjoyment of the community.

Bark Social may also suspend or permanently revoke a dog’s park access and/or an owner’s membership or entry privileges. Depending on the circumstances, removal may be temporary, for a defined period, or permanent.

Decisions concerning temporary or permanent bans are based on a professional safety assessment that may include:

• On-site observations and recognition of the dog’s behavior by trained Bark Social staff
• The nature, severity, and frequency of any incidents
• The dog’s behavior before, during, and after an incident
• Reports from staff members, owners, and other guests
• The owner’s attentiveness, response, cooperation, and accountability
• The dog’s history at Bark Social
• Previous obedience training, behavioral training, or other corrective efforts
• The dog’s and owner’s compliance with these Park Rules

All Bark Social parks are equipped with on-site security cameras positioned throughout the premises to provide multiple viewing angles. When footage is available, management may review and play back recordings of altercations or other incidents as part of its safety assessment. Camera footage is one of several factors considered and may be subject to visibility, technical, and retention limitations. Recordings are maintained for internal safety and security purposes and may be shared with law enforcement, insurers, or other parties when appropriate or legally required.

Not every safety decision requires a prior incident, warning, or progressive disciplinary action. Bark Social may take immediate action when management believes a dog or person presents a safety concern. All access and disciplinary decisions are made at Bark Social’s discretion and are intended to protect the park community.

Rules for Entry

All dogs must have a single day pass, monthly or annual membership to be allowed on the premises

All dogs must be at least 16 weeks old.

All dogs must be current on vaccinations. Please upload vaccination records online via the Membership Portal prior to arrival. We require current: Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper (DHPP, DHLPP, DA2PP) vaccinations. Dogs with contagious health conditions are not permitted in the park. All dogs must be flea and tick free.

All dogs over a year old must be spayed or neutered. No exceptions. No dogs in heat.

All dogs must remain off-leash while inside the designated off-leash dog park. Dogs must be leashed when entering or exiting the park and in any area designated as on-leash.

Only flat-buckle collars or harnesses should be worn by dogs. Prong, pinch, choke, chain, and electric collars are not allowed in the park.

Dogs are only allowed in with the primary and secondary owners listed on your profile. We will check IDs at the door. Absolutely no dog services allowed to bring your pup in: dog walkers, dog trainers, dog sitters, etc.

Only legal owners can bring their dogs in. If you are looking to bring in a foster dog, please email info@barksocial.com. 

By entering the dog park, owners authorize Bark Social staff, including Bark Rangers, to handle, redirect, separate, or restrain their dogs when reasonably necessary to address unsafe behavior or break up an altercation.

Rules for Dogs

Aggressive or Unsafe Behavior

If a dog displays aggressive, threatening, or otherwise unsafe behavior, Bark Social may take any action considered appropriate, including:

• Redirecting or repositioning the dog within the park
• Requiring the dog to take a supervised time-out
• Requiring the dog and owner to leave immediately
• Temporarily suspending or permanently revoking park access

Dog Altercations

If an altercation occurs, owners must remain calm and follow the instructions of Bark Social staff. Each owner is responsible for assisting with the safe control and removal of their dog when directed.

Separating dogs carries an inherent risk of injury, and no intervention method is guaranteed to be completely safe. Guests should not place their hands near a dog’s face or mouth during an altercation.

Bullying and Unwanted Play

Dogs naturally engage in active and sometimes rough play. However, play must stop when another dog appears frightened, overwhelmed, unable to disengage, or uncomfortable.

Dogs displaying persistent chasing, pinning, mounting, body-slamming, cornering, or other unwanted behavior may be redirected or placed in a time-out. Repeated behavior may result in the dog and owner being asked to leave.

Exiting the Park

Dogs must be secured on a leash before leaving the designated off-leash dog park.

Rules for People

Smoke-Free Property & Prohibited Items

Bark Social is a smoke-free property, both indoors and outdoors. This prohibition includes cigarettes, cigars, vaping devices, and similar products. Smoke, vapor, and discarded materials can be hazardous to dogs and guests.

Outside food, beverages, glass containers, dog toys, and treats are not permitted. Guests are welcome to bring an empty reusable coffee mug or water bottle. Free filtered water is available.

Waste & Park Cleanliness

Bark Rangers help monitor the park and collect pet waste. If a Bark Ranger is assisting elsewhere, owners are expected to promptly pick up after their dogs.

Owners must prevent their dogs from digging or damaging plants, fixtures, equipment, or other park property. A dog that repeatedly digs or causes damage may be required to remain under the owner’s direct supervision or leave the park.

Owner Supervision & Responsibility

Owners may not leave the property while their dogs remain at Bark Social. Doing so may result in immediate removal and suspension or revocation of membership.

Bark Rangers provide general park supervision, but they are not personal dog sitters and are not the sole monitors of any dog. Owners must remain attentive to and responsible for their dogs at all times.

Owners remain legally and financially responsible for their dogs and for any injury, illness, loss, or property damage their dogs cause, including damage resulting from biting, nipping, scratching, jumping, or other behavior.

Children & Guests Under 21

Children must remain under direct and active adult supervision. Children may not run inside the dog park, climb on dog-play equipment, chase dogs, or tease, taunt, grab, or otherwise interfere with them.

Guests under 21 must remain under strict adult supervision at all times.

All guests under 21 must leave the premises by 8:00 p.m. There are no exceptions.

Dependent Supervision Limits

Each adult may supervise no more than two dependents in total. For purposes of this rule, both children and dogs are considered dependents.

Permitted combinations include:

• One child and one dog
• Two dogs and no children
• Two children and no dogs

Leashes, Gates & Park Entry

Members must keep possession of their dogs’ leashes or use the designated leash racks. Bark Social is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or stolen leashes, although our team will make reasonable efforts to assist.

Only one entry or exit gate may be opened at a time. Guests must ensure that no other dog enters or exits alongside them.

Guest Conduct & Safety

Guests who appear intoxicated, impaired, disruptive, or unable to safely control or transport their dogs will be required to leave. Bark Social may assist in arranging a taxi or rideshare service when appropriate.

Bark Social reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service when permitted by law, including when necessary to protect the safety of dogs, guests, employees, or property.

Assumption of Risk & Liability

Bark Social does not guarantee that the premises will be free from injury, illness, altercations, or other risks associated with dogs, group play, or an off-leash environment.

All guests enter and participate subject to the terms of Bark Social’s applicable membership agreement and liability waiver.

Compliance and Enforcement

Failure to follow these Park Rules, staff instructions, membership requirements, or safety protocols may result in:

• A verbal warning or behavioral redirection
• A supervised time-out
• Immediate removal from the park
• Temporary suspension of park access
• Revocation of membership
• A limited-term or permanent ban

The appropriate response will depend on the circumstances and may be imposed without a prior warning when immediate action is necessary.
