Bark Social
BARK & BREW
The DMV’s first “dog bar” is making its way to North Bethesda in
October and is ready to make a splash just like a tennis ball landing in
Fido’s filled water bowl. The 25,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor location
boasts a private, monitored off-leash dog park alongside a beer garden
and coffee bar. Seasoned entrepreneurs and founders Luke Silverman and
Jeff Kurtzman cited a need for pet-owning households to have a place
to socialize with both their furry and human friends. The location will
offer Doga yoga (dog yoga), daily Yappy Hours, singles nights and even
dog birthday parties. Discounted memberships are available for frontline
workers and a portion of the profits is donated to non-profit groups
that include Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. Totally PAW-some! Bark Social;
Opening in early October; Annual membership: $365 or $39.99/month; 935
